ESSEX, MD – are investigating after a woman was struck and killed in Essex on Thursday.

At just after 12:15 p.m., officers responded to the 1200-block of S. Marlyn Avenue (21221) for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.

Barbara Ann Craighead, 50, was taken to Bayview Hospital, where she was died at just after 5p.m.

Police are investigating the crash at this hour.
