CEDONIA, MD – Police have arrested and identified a suspect who shot a man on Hazelwood Avenue on Saturday night.

Karon Dajon Harvell, 26, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, armed robbery, and robbery and remains held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center following a bail review hearing on Monday.

Officers responded to the 4800-block of Hazelwood Avenue (21206) just before midnight for a shooting after a 27-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the lower body during an attempted street robbery.

The victim fought back and the suspects fled the scene.

He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.
