PARKVILLE, MD – Police are investigating an attempted burglary and a robbery that were reported this week.

Sometime between 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, and 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, an individual tried to break into Mustang Pizza, located in the 700-block of S. Marlyn Avenue in Essex (21221), by pushing open the front windows. The windows were locked, and the suspect was unsuccessful.

At just after 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, a man who was walking in the area of Hallsway Avenue and Dalton Road in the Hillendale section of Parkville (21234) was approached from behind by an armed, juvenile. Five additional youths also approached the man, assaulted him, and stole his property.
