Police are on the scene of a Tuesday afternoon shooting involving a child in Rosedale.

At around 2 p.m., officers responded to Cartwright Court (21237) for a report of a shooting.

At the scene, police found that a 4-year-old child had been shot at least once in the lower body inside a home.

Authorities say that a parent was home at the time of the shooting.

The circumstances are currently under investigation.

There has been no update provided on the child’s condition.
