Winter Storm Warning: NWS bumps Nottingham snowfall forecast higher

Winter-Storm-WarningThe Nottingham area could be in for a bit more snow than initially predicted.

The National Weather Service on Saturday morning revised its forecast, saying that the Baltimore area could see as much as 4 – 8 inches around the region.

A Winter Storm Warning has just been issued for the Nottingham area, replacing the previously-issued Winter Weather Advisory.

The Winter Storm Warning will be in effect from 7 p.m. Saturday until 6 p.m. Sunday.

The NWS had previously predicted 2 – 4 inches for the area.

Temperatures are a bit colder than initially forecast, which could lead to additional “fluff factor,” and the storm has slowed down a bit.

The winter blast also over-performed in Missouri.

Snow should begin falling last Saturday afternoon and continue through the morning on Sunday.
