Baltimore County unemployment rate drops to 3.9%

unemploymentOver the past month, 4,000 people came off of unemployment in Baltimore County.

The Baltimore County unemployment rate now stands at 3.9%, which is lower than Maryland’s October rate.

“Baltimore County’s unemployment rate hasn’t been this low since last December. We all benefit when more people bring home a paycheck,” said Baltimore County Executive Don Mohler.

“Lower unemployment is a win for workers, families and our entire community. Baltimore County’s economy is clearly moving forward, but we know we can’t take anything for granted and must continue to make progress,” said County Executive-Elect John Olszewski, Jr.
