Subway restaurant, elementary school burglarized; CVS robbed

Police LightsPolice are investigating several local robberies and burglaries that were reported over the weekend.

Sometime between 3 p.m. on Thursday, August 23, and 6:15 a.m. on Friday, August 24, an individual entered a construction site in the 5300-block of Nottingham Ridge Road (21236) via a side door. Once inside, the suspect stole several pieces of construction equipment and fled.

Sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Thursday and 7:45 a.m. on Friday, two individuals stole a statue and a plaque from Red House Run Elementary School, located in the 1700-block of Weyburn Road in Rosedale (21237).

At 5:30 a.m. on Friday, August 24, an individual used a large rock to break the window of the Subway restaurant located in the 1700-block of Chesaco Avenue in Rosedale (21237). Once inside, the suspect stole the cash register and handed it to a second suspect who was waiting outside. Both suspects then fled.

At just after 8:30 p.m. on Friday, an individual entered the CVS Pharmacy located in the 500-block of Eastern Boulevard in Essex (21221), implied a weapon, and demanded the money from the register. The suspect then fled on foot but was apprehended shortly thereafter.

At 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, August 26, a man was walking in a parking lot in the 2000-block of Flintshire Road in Rosedale (21237) when he was approached by two armed individuals. They demanded his property and left on foot with his cash and cell phone.
