Auxiliary completes $1 million donation for new Franklin Square NICU

The donation is complete – and it arrived two years ahead of schedule.

Five years ago, the MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center Auxiliary pledged a gift of $1 million to benefit the newly-built neonatal intensive care unit.

Earlier this week, the MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center Auxiliary presented the remaining $115,000 and met the $1 million pledge two years ahead of schedule.

The Auxiliary had previously completed their $1 million donation for the Patient Care Tower in five years, one year earlier than planned.

MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center unveiled its new, $7.8 million NICU back in January. The newly constructed 16,000 square feet of space is a level III NICU.
