The winter that just wouldn’t end continues in Maryland, as Nottingham residents prepare to deal with a rare, April snow and sleet event.

The National Weather Service says that the Baltimore area could see rain, sleet, and snow from Friday night through Saturday evening.

The high, April sun angle will make it difficult for snow to accumulate during daylight hours, but any precipitation that falls from Friday night into Saturday morning could stick to grassy areas and possibly roadways.

Forecasters say that most of the Baltimore area could expect to see 1 to 2 inches of snow accumulation.

The event should begin as rain late Friday night, then change to sleet and snow throughout the day on Saturday, ending as all snow on Saturday night.
