Crews are on the scene of a serious, Friday night crash in Joppa.

At just before midnight, emergency personnel responded to the 200 block of Philadelphia Road (21085).

Injuries have been reported.

Wires are down in the roadway and a nearby transformer has exploded.

Motorists should avoid the area.
