Drug deal goes bad in Parkville, rifle rounds strike homes in Middle River

Police LightsPolice are investigating several local crimes that were reported over the past week.

At about 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, two people were going to meet a juvenile suspect to sell her drugs in the 2700 block of Maple Avenue in Parkville (21234). When the pair arrived, they observed several suspects sitting in a vehicle, who then began to chase them. A suspect exited the vehicle, implied he had a gun, and demanded their property. The victims ran to a residence and called police.

At just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, two juveniles were robbed of their cell phones and one victim’s headphones and belt by two individuals in the 4900 block of Hazelwood Avenue (21206). The suspects then fled the scene.

At 7 p.m. on Tuesday, while making a food delivery in the 9800 block of Langs Road in Middle River (21220), four individuals walked up to the driver, assaulted him, and took the food he was delivering. The suspects then fled.

At 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, a man fired his rifle from the rear of his residence in the 200 block of Shagbark Road in Middle River (21220). The rounds from the rifle struck nearby residences causing damage and almost striking the residents. The suspect was subsequently arrested.
