Several people were injured in a crash involving an MTA bus in Essex on Tuesday evening.

The accident occurred at about 5 p.m. at the intersection of Stemmers Run Road and Back River Neck Road.

Authorities say 17 people are being treated for minor injuries.

Heavy delays are being reported.

Motorists should avoid the area.
