For the second time this week, a gas leak has occurred along Joppa Road.

At about 11:45 a.m. on Friday, crews reported that a gas line had been struck in the 3700 block of E. Joppa Road in Carney/Perry Hall.

Joppa Road has been shut down in both directions while utility workers attempt to stop the leak.

There has been no word on any injuries.

Earlier this week, a gas leak occurred along Joppa Road near the Perring Plaza shopping center.
