Police investigating series of violent, local robberies

Police LightsAuthorities are investigating a series of violent, local robberies that were reported to police this week.

At 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, three individuals pushed a man down in the 1100 block of Old Eastern Avenue, 21221, assaulted him, stole his property, then fled the scene.

At 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, a woman was walking in the 11200 block of Pulaski Highway, 21162, when an individual asked her if she was okay. The woman said she was okay, however, the suspect asked again as she kept walking. The woman then heard someone running behind her demanding her purse. When the suspects grabbed the woman by the hair, she let go of the purse and ran away.

At just before 11 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, an armed suspect was seen running away from the scene of a robbery at the Domino’s Pizza located in the 600 block of Compass Road, 21220. Police responded and the suspect was arrested.

At 12:45 a.m. on Friday, May 5, a man was walking along Wiltshire Road, 21221, when he was approached by two individuals.  The two suspects then assaulted the man and attempted to steal his property but were unsuccessful. One suspect was subsequently arrested.
