Authorities say a young man was found dead in the back yard of his townhouse by a relative early on Wednesday morning.

Police were called to the 1400 block of Dartmouth Avenue, 21234, at around 1:15 a.m. after a relative returning home found the man in the yard.

He has been identified as 18-year-old Emmanuel Ime Enyam.

An initial investigation reveals he suffered at least one gunshot wound to the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are unsure how long the man was in his Parkville/Hillendale yard before he was discovered.

Homicide detectives are now investigating.
