Crews are on the scene of a Wednesday morning house fire in Essex.

At about 11 a.m., units responded to the 300 block of Capitol Court for a report of a fire.

At the scene, firefighters found that there was a fire in a two-story townhouse at that location.

The fire was contained to the basement.

There has been no word on any injuries.

Motorists should use caution in the area.
