Authorities say the bomb squad  was deployed to a home in Essex on Sunday afternoon.  

At around 4 p.m., police responded to a residence located on Cardinal Road, 21221 for a reported “incident inside the home.”

Details are sketchy. 

Reports would seem to indicate that a suspect is now in custody, however area residents are being asked to shelter in place. 

Some nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution due to the nature of the situation, according to police. 

Authorities have said they will not release specific details until the investigation is complete.
