Authorities are searching for the man who tried to rob a Parkville gas station this week with a rather unconventional weapon.

At just before 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, a man entered the Sunoco gas station located in the 8400 block of Harford Road in Parkville.

The man attempted to rob the station by displaying a rusted machete.

The clerk refused to comply and the suspect then fled the scene on foot.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call police.
