Police are investigating after a man was punched in the head during a robbery in Essex on Thursday night.

At about 11 p.m., the man was walking in the 1700 block of Old Eastern Avenue, 21221, when he was approached by three suspects.

The suspects punched the victim in the head and proceeded to steal his cell phone and bank card.
