Victim’s dog thwarts robbery attempt

Police LightsA would-be robber got a little more than he bargained for over the weekend.

At about 9:15 p.m. on Saturday night, April 23, a female victim who was walking her dog along Livia Court in Rosedale was grabbed from behind by an unknown suspect.

The suspect demanded the woman’s wallet and cut her with a knife.

That’s when the woman’s dog came to the rescue, biting the victim and causing him to flee the scene.

Police are still searching for the suspect.
